Yonallis

A private collector requested a sizeable piece to feature in a new renovation planned for their family home in Adelaide, South Australia. The brief was almost non-existent, simply being 'we want something that carries on and extends your current artistic practice'. A giant ceramic boat-chandelier seemed appropriately ambitious and fitting.

The collector has named the piece Yonallis, as they remarked 'it has both female and male considerations in its aesthetic form, totality and structural implications'. Yonallis weighs approximately 150kg and is a Class A vessel at 3.2m in length.

The work was installed in February 2019. Thank you to Freddy Komp for assisting with the 3D design/planning stages of this project.
